There are some simple steps to setting yourself up as an Independent Travel Agent.
You’ll need a laptop or smartphone and internet access (and maybe a pen and paper if you prefer writing things down!) After you have completed the sign-up process, which will take about 10 minutes, you’ll receive your personal log-in details (within minutes), which will give you access to the mandatory training - this will take about 90 minutes - 2 hours to complete. Once completed, you will then have full access to the systems, including over 90 preferred partners you can book travel with. We have suppliers for every travel-related extra you can think of. So, within hours, you can be searching for the best deals and rates worldwide.
As an Independent Travel Agent, you are able to contact any hotel worldwide using your ABTA number and ATOL license to access commissionable booking rates. We also have access to specific travel-agent only booking sites that offer great deals and prices.
When booking for clients, you will see how much commission is being earned on each booking.
The commission ranges between 8-20% depending on the supplier or type of booking you are making. Commission payments will be paid between 30–90 days after a travel booking has been completed. For example, if you were to book a holiday for 1-7 July, you would receive your commission between 8 August–8 October. The administration of commission payments is handled by our host agency and the customer service team is on hand to assist with any queries you may have.
